Lil' J and ProwlerAsiaXpress Tennis Tourney '00
The Return

Saturday, August 5, 2000...the tennis world was
re-introduced to the phenoms known as Lil' J and Prowler. The previous year, they had finished 4th in Beginning Doubles and Lil' J finished 9th in Beginning Singles. With fire in their eyes, these two tortured souls set off to claim higher prizes, even with Prowler's severely damaged hand.

ProwlerTheir first and only match was in the Intermediate Bracket. Prowler and Lil' J fought their hardest, but alas, their attempt was futile as their opponents defeated them handily.

Later that day, Lil' J went on to play his beginning singles match, or at least that's what he assumed. His first round opponent immediately forfeited upon seeing him. Lil' J would advance.

Lil' J returned to claim his what he felt was rightfully his, the Beginning Singles title which eluded him the year before. Unfortunately, fate was not on his side. On entering the court, Lil' J suffered an excruciatingly painful stomach ache, but he went on to play nonetheless. After what seemed to be an eternity for him, Lil' J lost, thus ending his bid for first place.

Lil' J w/3rd place trophy (far right)Sunday, August 6, 2000...Lil' J returned to the scene where he had lost. Today, he was to go for 3rd place. Without the adornment of what he had worn the day before, Lil' J fought adamently for the prize, but alas, he lost. Settling for fourth place this year, he left sullen, but not without the last laugh as he managed to lay his hands upon the third place trophy.

The story of these two is not over. Only fate knows what lays in the path of these misguided youth...
